Parent/Guardian to School Communication

Steps to Address Questions and Concerns

Staff members are eager to answer your questions or address your concerns. To most effectively deal with your questions or concerns, please follow the steps below.

Step 1 - Classroom Teacher

Classroom-related questions or concerns should be directed to your child's classroom teachers. They can assist with:

  • Questions about the classroom
  • Classroom rules and consequences
  • Homework and assignments
  • Report card concerns

Step 2 - School Principal

If your questions or concerns have not been addressed by the classroom teacher, or if you have questions or concerns beyond the classroom, contact the school principal. They can assist with:

  • Concerns about an individual school
  • Student registration
  • Student schedules
  • Student suspensions
  • Report card concerns
  • Homework and assignments
  • Code of Conduct
  • Safety and security
  • Budget and fundraising
  • School Council

Step 3 - Contact the Student and Family Support Office

If you feel your question or concern should be escalated beyond the school Principal, Student and Family Support Office staff can help connect you with the appropriate Superintendent. You can initiate this process by completing the  or dialing 519-255-3200 ext. 10289. When you reach out, please be sure to provide the student's full name, school name and a detailed description of your question or concern so we can direct your inquiry to the appropriate person or department.
